Police offer cash for details on South Oxhey graffiti
Information that leads to the capture of those responsible for racist graffiti in South Oxhey could carry a financial reward, Hertfordshire Police has said.
The reward, described as a “sum of money”, is available through Crimestoppers.
The first two graffiti incidents occurred over night between 28 February and 1 March on Birkdale Gardens between 6pm and 7.40am when the two back tyres and the front passenger side tyre of a blue Toyota were slashed.
On the same date between the 6pm and 8am a red Peugeot had all four tyres punctured. Between 6.45 pm on 4 March and 7am on 5 March St Joseph’s School, Airsdale Road, was also targeted and had the outside walls covered in graffiti with white paint.
South Oxhey Police Station, Oxhey Drive, also had racist graffiti sprayed on the walls between 1pm on 4 March and 5pm on 5 March.
Sergeant Luke Mitchell, safer neighbourhoods sergeant for South Oxhey, said: “This type of behaviour has caused a lot of inconvenience and upset for the people of South Oxhey and it is disappointing as this area has come a long way in terms of low figures for anti-social behaviour and criminal damage over the past few years.”
