Posted by Richard in Watford Football Club, 3rd August 2009, 2:07pm

WATFORD Football Club, along with other Football League clubs, will hold a minute's applause on Saturday 8 August to mark the life of Sir Bobby Robson.

Sir Bobby died on Friday (31 July), at the age of 76, after a long battle against illness.

That day the Hornets welcome Doncaster Rovers to Vicarage Road for the start of the 2009/10 Coca-Cola Championship season.

Players will also wear black armbands as a tribute to the man who led England to the 1990 World Cup semi-final.
